Happy Birthday Baby!

I just want to do a quick post to tell my 'baby' happy birthday! She is four years old today, I can't believe how fast time flies by. It seems like yesterday I was calling Chris to tell him he better head home because it was time. She sure didn't want to get here as quickly as Bode did though. Which was probably good since Chris had to drive from St. George to Nephi. She ended up taking long enough for the administrators at the hospital to realize I had had a c-section in the past so they made me have another. I was pretty upset since I had both my boys normal since my c-section with Mylee, but I just figured it meant my girls were supposed to come into this world the same way (cut out, not pushed out). She is quite the little princess and keeps us all in line. We all just love her to pieces and hope her birthday is as special as she is.

Mom's Day!

I just want to wish my mom a very Happy Mother's Day. I hope she has a wonderful day because she deserves it! She has done so much for me that words couldn't express how grateful I am. She's not only an amazing mom but an awesome grandma. She is always so loving, caring & supportive of all her daughter's, sons-in-law, and grandkids and I know we all appreciate her for that. I have some wonderful memories of my mom while four-wheeling, dancing in the living room (her doing the roger rabbit & running man, lol), keeping her awake on our many trips to and from Nephi & her staying right by mine and Chris' sides in everything we do. My mom has been a great example of how a person should love unconditionally. I love her so much and feel very blessed to be her daughter.
I am not only blessed to have such an amazing mom but lucky enough to have a second one. I have heard many horror stories about mothers-in-law, but I have never been able to relate to any of them. (thank goodness! lol) Like my mom, she is always so supportive and loving. I am so thankful to her for the wonderful son she raised for me to spend eternity with.
I want to thank both of them for all they do for me and my family.
I love you!

Regional Dance Competition 2009

Last weekend we went to Flagstaff Arizona for our regional dance competition. It was so much fun! JJ and Megans girls are on the Show Team this year so Mylee and I road with Megan and her girls to the competition, it was fun to have them with us this year.
All our dancers did an awesome job! (all our dances got Excellent or Superior)
I am especially proud of Mylee though. She competed in the solo competition and danced beautifully, but that is not the only reason I am so proud of her. At the solo awards the announcer mis-pronounced Mylee's name and it sounded more like 1st runner up is 'Me-lee'. Well Bailey P. thought they had called her name so she ran up, then he proceeded to call Queen is Bailey. Mylee figured it was her since they had called everyone else in her division. As they were putting the crown and sash on Mylee I had to go up and get the names straightened out. Mylee ended up with 1st runner up, which is still awesome, and as hard as it was to not get the crown that they were placing on her head, she kept that big beautiful smile on her face while her little heart was breaking inside. She loves dance and works so hard each week and I couldn't be more proud of the way she handled herself.
Here she is right after the whole mix up.

These were all the girls that danced in her division.

The girls in this next picture also dance for Southern Utah. Yes, it was one of Mylees little friends that dances with her that ended up getting the crown. They all did an amazing job!
Here are some more fun pics from the competition!
We have Nationals in June! Woo Hoo!

Baseball!

As I said in a previous post Kobe is loving baseball. He has already started asking about his next game. It is so much fun to watch him play, he seriously loves all sports (he asks for a football for every holiday even though he already has about 10). He is such an awesome little guy and we just love him to death! Here he is rounding 3rd and heading home.

Here is a couple of clips of Kobe at his game last week. This 1st clip was his 1st time up to bat (at this game), for now they get 6 pitches but I think they are going to be playing 3 outs in the next couple of games.

Here is his 2nd time batting.

Here's the finished products!

Here are the eggs that the kids decorated for Easter! Not to bad, huh!?!

Betime Stories, Popcorn, Family, ~FUN~!

The other night we had a family movie night. We do this occasionally but we really need to do it more often. We rented the movie Bedtime Stories and popped some popcorn. I am trying to be better about taking pictures of all the 'little' things and be better about keeping the blog updated since I am not the best at keeping a journal either.
Here is Chris and Mylee waiting for me to start the movie.
(not sure what kind of smile Mylee's got goin' on)

And the boys!

And Mylee got a pic of me & Mak! (don't we look lovely? Ha ha!)

Easter Stuff!

Now you will all know that I am a horrible mother for sure. This is the first Easter that we colored eggs. Yes, I know! Horrible huh!?! Well I will just tell you the truth, I can get slightly stressed out when my kids are doing things that can cause a big mess. If you know my family at all you'll know I get it honestly. I have lightened up, I think, so the night before Easter I tried to find egg coloring kits but of course, no one near by had any. So I bought some markers (something I don't usually let my kids use unless its crayola wonder markers, marker on my dining room table and the business lap top computer helped make that decision), some paints and let them go to town (without having a nervous breakdown either). They, of course, had a blast! Here are pics of each of them working on their creations. I must still have the picture of the finished products on my camera, or I am totally blind, since I couldn't see it on my computer so I will get that up so you can see what a great job they did. And I promise I will be a better mom from now on and let them color eggs.

After church on Easter sunday JJ, Megan and their kids came over for dinner and an Easter egg hunt. Makinlee cracked me up looking for "the #1 eggs"! "Look!" she would yell, "it's a #1!" all ten times. Later we walked over to the park to let the kids hit some balls. Kobe has started baseball and has had a couple of games and he is loving it. After the game this past Friday we were driving home and he says "mom!" me - "what but?" "It's so awesome cause I get to play baseball two days cause I just had my game and tomorrow I get to have practice." I hope he keeps that enthusiasm! (I will post some video clips) We had an awesome Easter and we hope you did too. Here are some picks of the kids in their Sunday Easter clothes, hunting for eggs and playing baseball. Notice all their faces when they are swinging. LOL!

So I have a minute!

I actually have a few minutes, well not really, dishes need done, laundry folded, the hut that Bode and Makinlee made earlier needs taken down, etc., etc., but I really don't feel like doing those things at the moment, soooo, I'm not. I just wanted to post about how wonderful my husband and kids are. I know the kids normally drive me crazy making messes, running around the house, ya know, all the normal kid stuff, but I really do feel that I have an amazing little family. In an earlier post I mentioned that Mylee and I went to the studio sleepover and had our fundraising carwash and yard sale. Well Saturday morning while we were getting things cleaned up I had missed a call and a new viocemail on my phone. The message was from my boys, it was them singing Happy Birthday to me and it of course put a smile on my face since I could picture the both of them singing it into the phone. A little later while I was helping wash cars, here come my boys running up to me and Bode had a gift in his hand. "Mommy this is for you, Happy Birthday - I lub you!'' Bode says with his big smile on his face and they both give me a big squeeze. It was great! When Mylee and I got home from the carwash there were some beautiful tulips on our counter, I love flowers! A few weeks before my birthday we were visiting the G-ma's and G-ma Judy took the kids to Family Dollar (they love the dollar stores) where they all picked something out for me for my birthday. So I finally got to open that gift on Saturday, Mylee picked out some slippers, Kobe picked a little wind chime with butterflies on it (that glows in the dark even), Bode picked out a small pink basket (he asked me if I liked my new pink Easter basket), and Makinlee picked out a package of combs. It took them quite a while to pick those out since they changed their minds 50 times so there was obviously a lot of thought put into those gifts. They were so excited for me to open the present that just the looks on their faces alone was one of the best birthday presents ever. Of course I got some wonderful cards from them too. Home made and store bought! I want to tell Chris how much I love and admire the man he has become. He has grown so much in all our years together and is the best father and husband anyone could ask for. He is so selfless and does so much for me, our kids, and anyone that he can help in any way. I love him so much!
ANY HOW! Sorry for the long ramblings (and no pictures) but I really wanted to let my family know how much they mean to me. I love them more than words could say and I am so thankful that I have them. I also want to tell my parents, sisters (and their families), and all my in-laws that I love them too and am so thankful for all they do for me and my family. I truly feel blessed to be a part of such wonderful families. Thank you all so very much! I love you!
