Kobe's special day! (well, weekend)

Kobe had a pretty exciting weekend.  It started Friday evening when we went to his first Pinewood Derby.  He had so much fun and ended up taking 1st place. Woo Hoo!
Here he is with his car and his awards.
Saturday we had family & friends help us celebrate Kobe's baptism.
It was a perfect day!
Here is Kobe with Grandma & Grandpa Ray.

And here he is with Grandma & Grandpa Wright.

Here is all the family that were able to come and share this special day with Kobe.
Thank you all so much!
Here is our little family! :)
It was an awesome weekend!
We love you Kobe and are so very proud of you!

Random!

Last month Bode finally lost his two front teeth!  They have been loose forever and the new teeth are already half way grown in so it was about time!  I was starting to get nervous that I would have to take him to the dentist to have them pulled. Phew!
The kids received their new belts.  This picture was taken right after their class so they look a rough.  haha!
Makinlee should be in the next belt promotion picture, she finally decided to try it after a year of Mr. Reis and Mr. Bell asking her when she was going to start doing class, and she is loving it.
Here are some pics of the kids having fun @ the pool party for belt promotion.  Mylee & Mikayla were being goof balls (as usual).
Makinlee woudn't hold still. ugh!
Kobe turned 8 on February 10th (how crazy is that?) but the pics are still on my camera.  I've been slightly busy, we're getting into competition season so we're starting our extra practices, choreographing solos, birthday parties, and the usual daily running kids here and there.  I will get pics of Kobe's birthday up ASAP.  I also need to take his pics for his baptism announcements and get those made and sent off too.  Time goes way too fast.

Busy, busy!

Wow!  I have said it before and I am going to say it again, time flies!  For Thanksgiving it was our year to be with the Ray's.  It was nice to spend the day eating lots of yummy food, mmmm, and visiting with family.
Here are some pics from Turkey Day.

December was busy with dance performances and our Christmas Recital.
Here's the kids with their dance groups.  Mylee is dancing with both the Show Team Smalls and Alls this year so she is a very busy girl this year.

After one of the dance performances the kids were able to visit with Santa and let him know what they wanted for Christmas this year.

In between all the dancing Bode turned 6.  He is in afternoon kindergarten so on his birthday Chris and I took him to breakfast.  He ordered hot cocoa with whip cream and just had to stick his face in it.
What a kid!

After changing his mind fifty times he finally decided on a skate board cake.
Here it is!

Makinlee had her preschool program and sang some fun Christmas songs for all the moms and dads.

Our ward had breakfast with Santa for the kids.  They got to wear their pj's to the church and play games and see Santa.  It was fun!

We were able to make it to the Jackson family Christmas party since it luckily was on the only weekend we didn't have a dance performance.  As always it was so fun to visit with everyone and eat all the yummy soups.
Here is Mylee holding my cousin Marci's baby Maycee. (what a cutie)

Auntie Lisa gave all the kids their own sticker nativity so of course my kids had to jump right on that.
Here's Makinlee and Kobe showing me theirs.

And here is Bode's.

Here is my mom with her mom (aka Granny J) and all her siblings.

Me, Granny J and my mom.

My little sis thought she would surprise me with some random pics so just for that....
here it is!  haha!  Love you Linds!

Actually I'm glad she did since I now have a good shot of her and mom. :)

Every year they have a 'Guess how many' game for the adults and one for the kids.  This year I won the adult one and Makinlee won the kids.  Score!  We let Lindsey take the adult jar of candy since I definately didn't need any more candy around my house for me to eat. ;)

And finally here are the kids on Christmas morning in their Christmas pj's.

We had a very busy but very fun Holiday season.
I have lots of video clips that I will try and get posted but I am going to have to figure out how to do it since they have changed things since I last posted.
I hope eveyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas and I hope you have a Happy New Year. :)

Field trip!

Yesterday I was able to help with the Kindergarten's field trip to the Fire Station & McDonalds. It worked out that Makinlee had preschool so I was able to have some time with just Bode. I think I have said before that I'm not sure where we got him because neither Chris or I are half as outgoing as he is. When we got to the Fire Station one of the firemen asked the kids 'who wants to be a fireman when they grow up' and of course a bunch of them raise their hands and scream ME, then he asks 'who wants to be a ballerina when they grow up' and some of the girls raise their hand and here comes Bode doing a ballerina walk in front of everyone saying 'I do' in a bit of a girly voice. I'm sure my face turned red as everyone else started cracking up.
Anywho! I took a few pics of our little field trip. Here's me and Bode on the bus.
Oops! Cut off Bode's chin!
Let's try again! Now my hair fell in my face. Oh well, I tried!
Bode in front of the fire truck.
And here is Bode in the truck.
After we left the Fire Station we went to McDonalds and had a tour of the kitchen. After touring the kitchen the kids got a 'tiny' ice cream cone and got to play on the playground for a while. It was a fun little outing with my Bode. :)

Jumpin Jacks

Chris is home for a little while so we wanted to go do something fun with the kids. We ended up taking them to Jumpin Jacks. Best place for kids for sure, it's a bunch of bounce houses and slides. They had a blast running around, jumping and sliding. At one point they turned some of the lights out and turned on some disco lights and music so of course the kids started busting a move. Take a look! hahaha!

The Worm!

Dance Off - Bode vs. High School Kid

Bode was showing off some more of his moves and had an audience of high school kids. Pretty soon one of the boys starts trying some of Bode's moves. LOL! Take a look!

Twelve wonderful years!

November 6th was a special day for Chris and I, it was our twelve year anniversary. :)
We weren't able to do anything wonderful since Chris was working out of town and I was here at home, but he did send me a dozen beautiful roses.
Aren't they gorgeous?
Here's another pic!
Of the twelve years we have been married, the past couple of years have shown us just how strong our marriage is. We are so blessed to have each other to get through the rough times together.
I love you Chris!

Belt Promotion!

The kids had belt promotion last Saturday. Mylee and Kobe received their brown belts and Bode received his blue belt. Here is a video clip from that night. Mylee and Kobe are in the back and Bode is in the front.

Bode waiting for it to start. Peace is his new thing that he has to do for pictures.

Kobe and Mylee waiting.

The kids with another instructor, Mr. Bell.

The kids with the main instructor, Mr. Reis.

Me and the kids! Chris was working out of town so he missed all the fun. :(

I don't know if you noticed, but this was the only picture Bode didn't do peace. lol!

Congratulations kids! We love you and are so proud of you!

Our Busy October!

The kids had Red Ribbon Week at school and of course they had a crazy hair day. The boys wanted their hair to look like Wolverine so I did my best. Mylee just wanted something 'crazy' so we put a small paper cup on the top of her head and pulled her hair up over it. I'd say it looked pretty crazy. At dance that night a highschool kid that was at the studio asked someone what was wrong with her head, haha!

The kids cleaned out their own pumpkins and drew the faces for Chris to carve. I'm not sure why she made this face in the picture because she didn't have a problem pulling the seeds and stuff out. She actually was having fun doing it.
Bode!
Kobe!
Now Mylee on the other hand was being a whimp!

And here are their masterpieces!
Mylee's, Kobe's, Bode's, Makinlee's (don't you love the suckers for ears, haha)

Just a cute pic of my little stinker. We were going to the school to see the other kids in there Halloween parade.

Bode - the jail bird!

Kobe - the police officer!

Mylee - I think the costume was called Poison Apple
(a goth Snow White)
Trick or Treating!

Kobe, Bode & Hannah Montana! Oh, I mean Makinlee!

Makinlee and her friend Chloe at preschool.

And I just had to show you how creative I am, LOL! Actually I just totally spaced off the trunk or treat at the preschool so I just ran into the studio (it's next door to the preschool) and grabbed what I could.

And some cute spider cupcakes that I made for the cupcake walk at or studio's Halloween Carnival. (I thought they turned out cute anyway!)Mylee and Mikayla did their own hair and make-up to help in the srudio's haunted house.
Very Scary!
Mylee waiting for the haunted house to open.

It was a very busy but very fun October!
