More fun at the park!

I know it's not much, I have been pretty busy so these quick posts will have to do for now. (Mom, I think your about the only one that checks this anymore since everyone, including me, is on facebook, but I will still try and get some pics posted once in a while for you.)
~ANYHOW~
Our kids contantly ask if we can do two things, 1- go to the dollar store and 2- go to the park.
So here are a couple of pics from a trip to the park. Makinlee wasn't in the mood to have her picture taken just yet so here are Bode, Kobe and Mylee.
She was finally ready for the camera. What a cheezer!

Field Day and Sleepover

Mylee's school had their Field Day last week and she ran the 50 M.
Here she is waiting to run with one of her friends.
Here she is finishing her first race. I never did hear what time she got. She qualified to race again but I wasn't able to stay for that race, I had to get Bode and Makinlee to preschool.
Every year the studio has a sleepover and then a fundraising car wash and yard sale the next morning. The night of the sleep over it was rainy, windy and cold so we were worried we would have to reschedule the yard sale and car wash, but it was clear and sunny the next morning. Here is Makinlee and Allee playing together at the sleepover. Makinlee thinks that she is as big as the rest of the girls so she begged to sleepover, the younger girls didn't actually sleepover but had a late night, so Makinlee finally settled for having a late night and then was able to sleepover at Allee and Ty's house.

Here is Baylee and Mylee the next morning having oreo's and milk for breakfast before the car wash and yard sale. They did have muffins and bananas too! We all had so much fun! All the girls look forward to the sleepover each year.

The pictures I promised :)

Here is Kobe at his class Valentines party. He was also the Super Star that week so we got to go into his class, it was fun to see him with his classmates. Bode and Makinlee were able to play all the games and frost cookies with the kids and they had so much fun.
Here are the girls when they performed at the Dixie State girls and boys basketball half times. They did an awesome job! We have our first competition coming up the end of this month so wish us luck!
Here are the boys right after I cut their hair last week. I didn't realize how long it really was, look at the piles of hair! I will take a picture of them when they are ready for school and post it, they look so handsome ;)

I know! I'm a slacker!

I have been so busy and when I have a minute I admit that I will check facebook instead of the blog. I promise I will get some new pics up a.s.a.p. Just a quick update though, Kobe had his valentines party at school the same day that he was the super star so we had fun showing his class some pics of him. He also showed them some jiu jitzu he has learned and then they had their party and played lots of fun games, so I have some pics from that. Mylee performed at the girls and boys Dixie State B-ball halftimes, she did an awesome job as she always does, and I have pics of that too. Oh and I cut the boys hair last night, they look like totally different kids. I will post some pics of that too! Now I better get ready for work!

Tonsils, adnoids & tubes!

We took Bode in Thursday morning at 6:45 to have his tonsils and adnoids taken out and his 2nd set of tubes put in his ears. The doctor said the poor kid had so much gunk in his ears it was growing into the bone. He said it was as thick as honey, so no wonder the poor kid couldn't hear. His adnoids were huge and his tonsils were bigger than the doctor originally thought. He has been doing pretty well, today has probably been the worst day, but he took a nice long nap this morning and has been up playing ever since. All of this hasn't affected him too much, he still can't stand to just lay or sit still so that has been the worst thing, getting him to rest.

The rest of the pictures were right out of surgery.
He was just waking up.
Trying to give us a smile :)

He ate a popsicle about 30 minutes after surgery and he scarfed it!

Hopefully all of this will help and we won't have to have a 3rd set of tubes.
We want to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers for Bode and a big thanks to Grandma LaDaun for coming down and staying with the other kids so both Chris and I could be with Bode at the hospital.

Happy Birthday to Kobe!

'Boy' does time fly! It seems like yesterday I had the goop on my belly and Chris and I were seeing our little guy wiggle around. We were so excited, almost in shock, that it was a boy, me not Chris. He was going to be the first boy in the Wright family. After growing up with 3 sisters and having 1 daughter and 6 nieces I was going to experience a boy. What an experience it has been. I have loved every minute of it. Kobe is such a happy kid it's hard to not love it (or him). I was such a proud mom with everyone telling me what a beautiful baby he was with those big blue eyes. I'm still a proud mom for the wonderful kid he is. He is a good student, and is very talented in all he does (karate, tumbling, hip hop) and he is a major sweet heart. We wish him a very happy birthday with lots of love!

Belt Graduation!

Mylee and Kobe were promoted to a high green belt on Saturday. We are so proud of them and how hard they work, not only at karate, but in everything they do. I don't get to see them in their class since I work on the days that they go, so it was fun to see them doing the forms that they had to pass off for their new belt. They also demonstrated some of their grappling skills. Chris tells me almost every week that Mr. Reis or Mr. Bell had Mylee go to the front to show the class what the forms should look like. I sure it helps that she is an awesome little dancer too. Anyway, here are some pics from the belt graduation.

Mylee, Mr. Bell & Kobe
(Mr. Bell has had two professional MMA fights and won both of them. We are sure that someday he will be famous and in the UFC and we will be able to say we new him and have pictures of him with the kids.)

Mylee, Mr. Reis & Kobe
(Mr. Reis is the main instructor and both him and Mr. Bell are so awesome with all the kids.)

Huntin' with dad!

Chris went with the Young Men to EFY Saturday morning and he told the boys if they got the toy room and their bedroom cleaned up he would take them shooting. When they were done cleaning they came upstairs in these clothes and said 'we're ready to go huntin' with dad!' I got a kick out of it! :)

We went to Grandma and Grandpa's a couple of weeks ago and the kids had a blast playin' in the snow. Makinlee didn't last as long as the others, but I think they would have stayed out all night if we would have let them. There was a pile of snow out front that they had fun sliding down. When we told them it was time to come in, since it was getting dark, they were a little disappointed.

Fun in the Snow!
